I think we should not force newbies to use scripting. It should be 
optional feature for power users.

I've meant VimL, the embedded vim language, vs Emacs Lisp, sorry. Not
any shell's scripts.

I read, at least. And yes, people like all these; however, when after
they are stumbled upon something they don't understand, they tend to
read more full and detailed multipage documents. Look, for instance, at
spice/ngspice/gnucap/pcb documentation.

Yes, they should. Any work in this direction is appreciated.

Nowadays, there are such packages as gitit which can use many input and
many output formats, and various converters. And the point is, we are
writing tons of words here spending too much time, and only a few spend
their time to improve the docs we have, or at least to file a bug
report or discuss an existing one.
