What? The whole Open Source movement is currently almost solely made up
of people beyond 40.

This doesn't mean one should keep ancient habits, of course, because the
older benefit from simplifications, too.


A sentence of a 16-year-old is somehat burned into my brain:

 "Why does [the project maintainer] ask for feedback? This project is
open source, so contribution is pointless."

You see? Open Source has messed up big time. The young don't even
understand the very basics. From top to toe into Neoliberalism, where
money is the only measure existing and monetary success the only
thinkable goal.
