I somewhat agree with John about not hiding the non-GUI flows. I still 
remember when I started with electronics many years ago. I did look at 
different packages, and there were three things that got me settled with 
geda and pcb:

- it was not integrated, but a set of specialized tools

- it let me do the glue between the tools (I wanted to use make)

- pcb file format looked like text editor friendly.

So I'd relax that idea about advertising the GUI only. I'd probably 
advertise the GUI in the first, longer paragraphs and keep a shorter 
paragraph at the end explaining how well non-GUI ways are supported.
