There are some thing to consider, and it's not fork in a technical sense, 
but in theory, yes.  I'd prefer to do it myself, though.

Until the Scheme wrapper is in place, using the improved netlister 
requires some work on the user's part, so it's probably a good idea to 
wait until I (or maybe someone else) found the time to write that wrapper.
