I am willing to offer code contribution as soon as I could get time and have worked for around 8 years as a professional developer.

To back annotate as is now or the difference is good enough if no one could figure a not to complicated method in case changes have been done both ways. I would probably do like this: if something new is added in the schematic it will be left as is now and only changes would be back annotated.
