  You know, I hate (HATE!) all of the forking that happens in the FOSS
world.  Most forks of most packages should never have happened, and many
are done for bad reasons.  Even GitHub (which I also HATE HATE HATE, and
this is one reason why) *encourages* people to fork stuff by putting a
big "FORK" button on every project.  Lots of people click that, for no
particular reason.

  Forking divides efforts and is a lazy way to skirt around actually
working together toward a common solution.

  But, as opposed as I am to willy-nilly forking of FOSS projects, it
sounds like you need a fork.  Gschem is not going to sit still just
because you are opposed to any change.
