The both the page manager and the find text operation use this variable. The page manager uses it to identify parent-child relationships. The find text operation sets this variable as it traverses the hierarchy. If this variable is defined just “recent_up,” then some functions are likely using it incorrectly. In which case, we should probably rename this variable. And, create a new mechanism for navigating hierarchy.
