Like I wrote in the other mail, there is no way to access transparency in 
the GUI. It should be easy to change in the source, though.

User configurable transparency is a missing feature in pcb. If you have a 
few hacking cycles to spare, you might consider to add this to the code. I 
for one would welcome the change.
