Are you running under Linux?

I can't recall the version number copy+paste support was added, but it
is there now.

There is a chance that your desktop environment might be important, as
not all X11 clipboard managers act the same. (Paste after closing the
source copy of gschem may / may not work, as we don't advertise the
clipboard contents as text).
