Yes, exactly.  I suspect that there are things that could be done to 
enable more functionality in pcb footprints that don't require massive 
infrastructure updates in pcb.  With the front-end file reader in place, 
then it makes it a lot easier to move forward with pcb, both 
incrementally for the small things, and with a clear road map for the 
big things.
