Stupid question:   How exactly do geda and PCB in particular make it to 
the repositories of major Linux distributions?  The latest Ubuntu 11.10 
"Oneiric," to which I just upgraded, still offers  the 20100929-2 
version, which is over a year old.  OpenSuSE is even worse.  I think 
there was more than enough time to include this newest version of PCB in 
the Oneiric repositories.
