Hi Markus,

Yes, it was a bit much but I had to play it safe as the first  
installation crippled X. I didn't have the luxury for multiple  
attempts and the approach I took, although tedious, was successful.

In addition to pcb, I also needed gschem. pcb was, by far, the easiest  
to install. The default Debian installation appeared to be out of sync  
with the tutorial. I really just wanted to finish the tutorial, so I  
built it from scratch.

I will try out the pcbtest script
