I do not know about MS DOS 6.22 (I have not seen it for very long time)

About FreeDOS: FreeDOS 1.1 kernel has bug which breaks nul (and as result /dev/null
for DJGPP), This bag is fixed later. I have not however tried later kernel versions, but it
could be interesting to know whether situation improves with it (or one gets stuck due
to another show-stopper bug).
