I would assume that there is a test period, and volunteer testers. :)

Does djgpp use any thing like mantis? http://www.mantisbt.org/
That would be helpful to manage issues and such.

Is there any dos SVN client? I don't see any , I could write one. :)
Any work I do would prob use SVN and sourceforge with a stable
"current", a test branch.
Standard stuff.
