Yes, you will be. Just remember that if you invoke any program from DJGPP, then your DJGPP program 
is swapped to disk and if you have ISRs in it, it is not going to work during that time.

No need to do it.

No.

If you don't need virtual memory support, you can consider using PMODE/DJ instead of CWSDPMI. It is 
smaller and if you need to do DMA, it is a lot easier to implement.
