I second that.

I learnt C++ using a combination of Stroustrup's book (the special edition),
"Effective C++" 2nd edition by Meyers and the C++ FAQ Lite on the Internet.

I bought a PDF copy of the C++ standard, which I've only looked at a couple of
times. It wasn't a pleasant experience. I also have the C99 standard, which is
/much easier/ to read, but still unpleasant at times.
