I have a program that shows the content of a large text file in which I
want to look for certain patterns visually. I use ScreenPutString() to
print so when I run it at full screen I get very much pages per second
and I can watch all the file in less than a minute, but in a graphic
window under windows XP you get very low refresh rate and this is not
practicall.

This is a concern to all interactive console applications, on which that
awfull delay between program printing and window updating, gives a false
sense of slowness.

Does anybody know a trick to speed up text printing in a graphic Windows
NT/XP console?

Thanks
