I not familiar with MSVC correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you 
should look for a file named .dsp thats the project file.
The format of this file, however may be quite hard to understand, 
your task would be to find out which files need to be compiled in 
order to build winquake. But maybe someone has already written a 
makefile for MINGW, this way it would be much easier.
