One other point, if you are going to use the "new" iostream
notation, you need to include namespace std, i.e.

#include<iostream>
using namespace std;

int main(void)
{
  cout << "hello world again\n";
  int waynesadummy;
  cin >> waynesadummy;
  return 0;
}

I do the last part out of habit, for windows stuff that may
open your output window, write, then close it before you see
anything.  You can skip it for this sort of app.
