You have found one of the bugs when running Rhide on XP. The other
bugs that as far as I know are specific to Rhide on 2K/XP are:-
	- Rhide hanging when moving mouse / selecting menus, basically
some screen update. This occurs, but is not 100% reproducable.
	- NVTM dialog occurs when exiting Rhide in a Window. Full
screen does not give rise to teh NTVDM error, but in full screen the
hanging is more prevelant.

These bugs have not been seen on Win 9x or DOS.

I downloaded Andris's latest Rhide snapshot last night and have not
used it yet.

You were close with the NTVDM, but the D is for DOS. If you would like
a list of the incompatabilities that were uncovered when getting DJGPP
to work on 2K/XP check out http://clio.rice.edu/djgpp/win2k/main.htm
.There is one more Win2K/XP issue that was reported last week that is
being worked on at the moment, but it has taken approx 6 months for
this to be reported.
