Yes (see the other replies); but you don't need to.  With DJGPP (and
GCC in general) you can have both optimizations and debug info.  That
way, you will be debugging the same executable as the one you will be
using in production.

So I recommend using both -O2 and -g (or, even better, -O2 -gstabs+).
