i tell you everything i did so you can help me more efficiently.i
bought c++ for dummies which came with gnu and consisted of zip files,
unzipped file and exe files.i opened up the exe files(ccpfd author.exe and
ccpfd gnuc.exe)in which they were installed in c:\c++fd_files
directory.the instructions say you need a directory named djgpp so i changed
c:\c++_fd_files to c:\djgpp then i opened up the autoexec.bat file and
typed in set path=c:\djgpp\bin;%path% and set path=c:\djgpp\djgpp.env.next
step is to click on start>programs>msdos which brings up msdos prompt
then you type in c:\cpp_for_dummies\chap01 but i got (bad command or
file name)instead of what was suppose to happen.the env file shows lfn=y
like its suppose to and i've done everything in the book.i've been
tring to install this for 5DAYS AND I HAVE GONE INSANE IN THE
PROCESS!!!! i have read the book, faq, and nothing has helped me .is this some
kind of sick joke or i'm i really that dumb? seriously how can expect to
learn c++ when i can't install a simple program? if this disqualifies
me from learning c++ then tell me because i don't want to waste my time
or anybody else's .just send me an email telling me how stupid i am and
i'll give up if it doesn't mean that i'm to stupid to learn c++ then
please help me. please email me one way or the other thanks
