No, it's way too long.  It should take a second or so.

Is it really 13MB or is that a typo?  13MB sounds a strangely low value 
for a P3.

Also, what OS are you running on that machine?  If it's plain DOS (not 
some version of Windows), the slow operation is almost certainly due to a 
lack of a disk cache.
