if gcc created this, then its badly broken. My vax has no edx
register, nor does my mac, nor palmpilot, etc etc

great. I'm happy for you....

wasn't it only the other day someone complained that we're intolerant
of Win32 questions but tolerant of gcc ones? I wonder what they make
of a question about assembler.... !!
