Not an option at this stage.

Write Windows independent software to turn switches on/off
and read analog and digital inputs the way I did with my
C64, Amiga and DOS based PC.

The DJGPP software does work with the parallel port so I
will have to come up with a hardware solution using the
parallel port as a conduit.
