I don't see anything wrong with the example in the Info docs, and 
neither with the code of globfree.  In particular, passing just 
&glob_results.gl_pathv to globfree is simply wrong (you can clearly see 
that if you look at the source code of globfree).

Did you use the example from there in some larger program?  If so, it's 
possible that your program has a bug which causes the crash.  If you used 
just the example as a stand-alone program (with some trivial main 
function), please post here the exact source of the program you actually 
compiled.  In any case, please post the crash message printed when the 
program crashes, complete with registers' dump and the traceback, after 
running SYMIFY on it.
