It's UNfortunately, actually; see below.

You need to rebuild the library: it was compiled with an old version
of a C++ compiler, and the compiled code is no longer compatible with
the current C++ compiler and libgcc.a which comes with it.

See also section 8.11 of the DJGPP FAQ list, which cites this same
error message.
