Subject: ANNOUNCE: DJGPP port of popt 1.2, release 2
Reply-To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com

Hello.

A new package of popt 1.2 for DJGPP has been released. popt is a flexible
command-line argument parsing library. It's like getopt, but much more
powerful. It is used in the Linux package manager 'rpm'.

The port is available from the DJGPP archive:

http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2tk/popt12b.zip&name=popt12b.zip
http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2tk/popt12s.zip&name=popt12s.zip

An extract from a Linux development book is included, which explains how
to use popt.

popt is being used in the zippo package manager for DJGPP.

Changes from release 1 are:

* popt.h was fixed, to allow popt to be used in C++ programs (thanks to
Laurynas Biveinis for the patch).

* The autoheader patch was removed from the source distribution, because
the packages in the DJGPP archive in Simtel.NET do not require it.

If you have any problems, suggestions, questions regarding the DJGPP port
of popt, please feel free to mail me.

Thanks, bye,
