Sorry if this is in the FAQ, but....

I have the djgpp/gnu/emacs/bin path properly set in PATH

I type emacs at the DOS prompt

When I run emacs, I get all kinds of funny characters (escape sequence like)
looking things.

I'm trying to find out what might be a good term setting?

Any ideas any1? TIA
