Right, there's no such option.  DJTAR makes a point of making you
alert to any such cases, because they can happen due to clash of file
names after truncation to 8+3 limits, or when the 8+3 alias created by
Windows clashes with an existing file (a known Windows 95 bug), or if
the silent renaming of some special file names causes a clash with an
existing file.

I think the extra safety you get is well worth this annoyance.
