One recent poster asked a question in English and requested the answer
be from an ordered list of preferred languages with English last on
the list. The answer was actually provided in every language on the
list except English.

Of course the internet and specifically the news are relatively
charset impaired. c.o.m.d manages to work with this reality and is one
of the more pleasant newsgroups around with good temperment and
plentiful and accurate technical information while still being
relatively multilingual. This in stark contrast to much of usenet.
All this is quite a feat IMHO when you consider the number of
inexperienced and young programmers who arrive here to mostly learn
about programming games. The young and inexperienced can often have a
tendency towards being "intense" and "opinionated" :)
