Like Eli said, you probably have an old version of bash; it's highly
recommended to get the latest update of bash 2.04 (many problems are
fixed).

If you still have this problem with the current acnf250b package
(released
this weekend), please send me a zip file with configure.in, configure,
config.log and config.status (plus any other files you think are
relevant)
