Using gcc is slightly more predictable, since gxx might from (an old) gcc 
distribution, what we now know as gpp, or from djdevNNN.zip.  If it's 
from djdev, an additional level of nesting is involved, which might or 
might not complicate things.

It's not a big deal, either way; I just typed the simplest command I 
could think of.
