I use:
	putchar('\07');
to emit a beep under DJGPP+GRX.

When calling this function under Windows 98 DOS box, the graphic screen often
locks and further graphics output will not be drawn correctly.

Is there an alternate way to play a beep in DJGPP ?

Vincenzo
