Framing error means that the parameters with which you set the UART
are incorrect.
A "frame" is a unit of information used in async communications to
transmit data. For 8,N,1 the frame consists of a start bit, 8 data
bits, and a stop bit. This is what the UART expects; if it detects a
stop bit that is not at the end of a 10-bit packet, it issues a
Framing error, meaning that the frame it received is incompatible with
what it was told to expect.
