If we make the modifications, in order to submit the code and binaries
modified, is there any kind of regression tests? 

I'm asking this because the changes seem to be small. May I stumble in a
wall. . .

I see. Well, let's see if we can get gdb 5.0 working with the patches... 

This weekend will download the sources and see.
