Your problem is not with the exit code, it is with the compilation 
failing because some of the programs required to compile your code is not 
found.  Thus the "Bad command or file name" message.

In other words, your DJGPP installation is busted, it doesn't work.  You 
need to find out what's wrong with your installation.  I suggest to go 
through the README.1ST file and make sure you did every step it tells to 
do.
