Paul,

Am expierencing nearly the same on my home box (K62-300, win98 SP3).
Just beginning to tinker with DJGPP and RHIDE, thought I might
have missed something in the docs.  Sometimes I get an executable,
other times not.  Sometimes even encounter the "blue screen of
death" when exiting RHIDE. Upon re-boot, I may or may not have
an exe or obj file.

 I have a slightly older version of RHIDE on my box at work,
 same source, no problems.

FWIW I have no problems with the new version on a simple
"Hello world" program.

I wish I had a suggestion, but will leave that to the
experts.  Just posted to let you know you were not alone,
was going to post something similar after reviewing the
docs.
