How much does it cost to join?
There are currently two options available, and soon there will only be one option.
Option 1:  Join the Going Platinum Affiliate Program (GPAP) with a one time $25 fee. By doing so, you immediately advance to the Bronze level where you can start making residual monthly income.  This option will soon be obsolete and is offered only during pre-launch.
Option 2:  Join the Going Platinum Community (GPC) for free.  Once you have referred 10 people, you will immediately advance to the Bronze level.  With this option, no money is ever put forth on your part.  After pre-launch, this will be the only option for people to join under.

Why would I want to pay the $25?
I'm not going to take the time to explain the compensation plan in it's entirety here because you can look at the company's official website for that information, but I do want to take time in explaining why it is to your advantage to make the initial investment of $25 now while you have the opportunity.
It true that you can start absolutely free! If you are skeptical and confused, then simply join as a free member. You will still make money and be in an excellent position before full launch.
However, if you choose to pay the one-time $25, then you will automatically be promoted to the bronze level and be eligible for company sponsored members to be placed in your downline.  (See compensation plan for details)  This rapid promotion will not be available after Going Platinum is launched.  It's much like becoming a founder in the company.

Further Explanation:
The pay structure in Going Platinum can be a bit confusing, but the thing to remember is that there are TWO different, but related, programs in Going Platinum.
First, you have the Going Platinum Community (GPC):
This is the main program in Going Platinum, and this is primarily where the money will be coming from.
The GPC will be a FREE, worldwide ISP, that shares a percentage of all income with the members. Much like the 'paid-to-surf' companies, except you will make a profit from everything you do. Like checking the news, buying merchandise, or just surfing around like you would normally do. We're not talking about ad-bars here, just regular internet use!
The total payout will be 10%. You will also get a percentage of your downline's commissions as well.  (Downline is the term that describes the people you referred)
So the GPC offers free internet access with a really cool member's area with promotional tools and an awesome virtual office for managing your internet activities.
The second part is the Going Platinum Affiliate Program (GPAP):
This is voluntary to join, so you can be a free member of GPC without having to join GPAP.
The fee to join is a monthly $25. A large percentage of this fee is paid out to your upline each month, much like any MLM program, but what confuses most people is that you do NOT ever have to pay the fee out-of-pocket more than ONCE! After the initial payment, all following monthly fees will come out of your commission from BOTH the GPC and the earnings from your GPAP downline.
Now, the important thing to remember is that IF for some reason you do not make enough commissions one month to cover the GPAP fee, you will NOT be charged for the difference!
