If you are writing for win2K, do yourself a favor and get a win32 port
of gcc.

DJGPP is a very fine port, and yes there is RSXNTDJ, but it really
doesn't compare to using a native port of gcc.

Basically there are two possibilities:
Cygwin -- http://www.cygnus.com
MingW -- http://www.mingw.org

Cygwin is a POSIX compliant environment for win32, while MingW only
aims for native windows. MingW is smaller, but cygwin has a more
complete tool-set. Both have active mailing lists, and good support.

There are static and link libraries compatible with both that will get
you access to win OpenGL libraries, and there is also Mesa3D, although
it is much slower.

There have been a few attempts to port Mesa3D to DOS (in fact I've been
hosting one of them) but they are very incomplete and very slow. (Not
to mention very much out-dated)

Anyway, there are good, stable and well maintained ports of gcc for
win32/2K.

Good luck.
