Hi,
I have purchased the 'teach yourself C++ starter kit' book byJesse =
Liberty, that came with a CD-ROM with DJGPP on it for utilising.
It installed O.K, but when it came to trying out RHIDE, I tried to =
compile the 'hello world' program and got the message =
'c:/djgpp/lang/cxx/iostream.h(31) Error: streambuf.h: No such file or =
directory (EN0ENT)' . Now, I have read a lot of the FAQ's and tried to =
change the LFN to y, which was no help. I had a look for streambuf but =
only found streambu.h, it appears to be truncated and by the sounds of =
it it has something to do with either win95 (which I am running) or the =
way in which I installed the program from CD.
I then tried to change streambu.h to streambuf.h which when compiled =
changed the error message to another file which it could not find. From =
that it appears that either I am missing important files or the win95 =
platform has interfered with the files.
1. Does this CD contain everything I need to build and run programs or =
do I need extra files?
2. Do you have an idea why I am experiencing these problems?
The stupid thing is that I ran the program last night and it compiled! =
This morning, however, no luck, what has changed?

Any advice and assistance would be much appreciated

Steve Hill
