Try:

strip --strip-all hello.exe

This will remove all of the extra debugging information.  The file size
should decrease to around 75-80K.  Most of the hello.exe program is
overhead to enter protected mode.  The rest is library includes and C++
overhead.  Only a few bytes are actual code.
