I think there is a -version switch, but IIRC, it's somewhere in the
FAQ. If you've been away for years, then it's save to say you need
updating.

You can get DJGPP from delorie.com and allegro from
http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro/
Get the latest WIP version (3.9.33 IIRC) instead of the older 3.12
release.
