Years ago, a BASIC compiler called PowerBASIC was released in both a
commercial and try-before-you buy version. This had a thirty-day limit
but. I'm not sure if the limit was enforced though, since I only tried
it for a week and decided that the fact that it couldn't load any
sources kept me from checking it out properly. Dumped BASIC altogether
soon after.
