Um... dunno... but try setting up yer networking stuff in 98, and when you
boot into DOS, type net start, or play around with net.exe until you are
logged in and on the net...

I was able to use this (sorta) to do minimal networking in DOS using
windows... weeiiirrdd stufff I say...
