I use Textpad4.2.2 myself, and I can agree with what Krogg says. It's
highly configurable and works well with djgpp. (Having said that, I
still think I prefer Rhide. I don't know why, I just do.)

Just out of interest Krogg, have you worked out how to set up Textpad
so that when you click on the error messages produced by djgpp it
jumps to the relevant line in the text? I know it is possible, I just
haven't figured how yet. I guess this is one of the advantages of
Rhide for me right now.
