howdy everybody!

just picked up my 'learn c++ in 24 hours" book and i just went through the
archaic ordeal of installing djgpp system on my computer! i'm pretty handy
with the computer (built my own) but doing this DOS stuff is throwing me for
a loop.

ok,

so i installed RHIDE as well and it seems to be working fine but i'm
confused about how to set up directories for my .cpp files and the .o and
.exe files that RHIDE makes when i RUN a program.

when i change the OPTIONS DIRECTORIES for source and objects and then save
my options, i can no longer RUN the programs anymore. also, there doesn't
seem to be any way of determining where .EXE files are created.

so how can i set directories without messing up the installation?

thanks

jin
