Windows NT within a few months, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for
that.

You could use DJGPP+RSXNT/DJ (see v2tk/ of the DJGPP archive for RSXNT/DJ)
or Mingw32 or Cygwin instead, to build Windows programs with networking.
These will run fine under Windows NT.
