In case you are still looking, a serial comms library, dzcomm, is
available for free for DJGPP. It requires the allegro library:

Allegro: http://www.sunsite.auc.dk/allegro
Dzcomm: http://www.robots.ox.ac.uk/~neil/allegro/dzcomm.html

Wither use the latest stable allegro (3.12) with the latest stable
dzcomm (0.7.2) OR the latest WIPs (2.9.32 and 0.9.5).

As they are both free, there's nothing to stop you downloading both of
them and stripping out all the stuff you don't want to leave the bits
you do want.

Hope this helps,

Neil
