But you lose all of C++'s cool OOP features.  Is there a way to link
the function so that the function is private to the wrapper method?
Otherwise, _any_ method in _any_ class can call it.

Shouldn't the mangling method be part of the object file format spec,
like the initial underline is in COFF?
